 In the Rajnagar block of Kendrapara district, more than 50 Congress workers from the Rajnagar block staged a hunger strike in front of the tehsil officer's office on behalf of the Congress.  Congress workers have alleged that the BJD's Rajnagar president is taking over the Khod Rajnagar BDO  Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.  Congress workers have accused the BJD of intimidating people in rural areas.  Rajnagar BDO Mr. Mandradhar Mahalika was told by the BJD president that Congress representatives from various panchayats in the Rajnagar block had gathered in front of the tehsil office.  Kendrapara district sub-district magistrate Shri Basant Kumar Raut and Rajnagar block tehsildar Shri Bholanath Sethi reached the spot and promised all the employees.  It will be monitored in all the panchayats and appropriate action will be taken on where the irregularities took place.  Then all the Congress workers went on a hunger strike.
